Sussex

West Sussex is a beautiful county with much to offer the holidaymaker. With sparkling seas along our coastline and the quiet beauty of the South Downs, our County appeals to many.

There are daytime strolls through the numerous valleys and hills of West Sussex, and night time walks for those interested in Bat & Owl watching. There are butterfly walks, bird watching walks, cycle rides and stops for pub lunches! Most of the walks are free of charge, though donations can be made to the organisation leading the walk.

West Sussex lies on the coast of central southern England, within easy reach of London, but a world away in its quiet beauty and charm. Historically cut off from the rest of the country by the dense Wealden woods, West Sussex manages to retain an aura of tranquillity and a sense of being away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

East Sussex is blessed with a rich rural heritage.
